What is Root
Camp?
Root
Camp started in 1991 as a Christian small-group disicpleship camp in a
wilderness setting (away from distractions!)
It is designed for boys aged 13 - 15 to come as campers.
Junior Leaders
16
-17
year olds can apply to come to Root Camp as 'junior leaders'. (It is
preferred for Junior Leaders to have first gone through the program as
campers, however, exceptions are made on an individual basis.)
Senior Leaders
Those 18 years & older may apply to assist us in senior leader positions. (It is preferred for Senior Leaders to have first gone through the program as campers, however, exceptions are made on an individual basis.)
Where is Root Camp?
The camp is run in a wilderness setting near Maynooth, Ontario, on a small undeveloped lake. Meals are cooked over an open fire, and there are minimal comforts, even though over the years the site has been upgraded, and now includes six small wooden cabins, a shelter structure, a well with a hand-pump, and an outhouse on the hill!Under whose authority does Root Camp run?
